PC Construction & Repair
I build, maintain, and upgrade my own computers from individual parts bought on the internet. I prefer desktops, as they offer more flexibility.
I build my own computers from individual parts for several reasons. I am able to build a PC that better fits my needs. For instance, I included a sound card with optical output on my current desktop computer so that the sound output of my computer can be integrated into a home theater system. This option would not have been available at the time from any major computer manufacturer. The parts that I am able to buy on the internet are of a much higher quality than those used in the average "cookie-cutter" PC. I also realize a very large cost savings by building my own computers, especially when making high performance machines.
